Restrictions on free Spotify accounts are getting tighter, but before we shout about how rubbish this is, it’s worth knowing to what extent artists are already getting ripped off… Artists make just $0.00029 per play, which essentially makes it similar in value to piracy for anyone getting less than hundreds of thousands of plays per month.
