Most people would agree that data about your own life is quite interesting, and for me the most interesting thing to see would be exactly how I spend all of my time. Practically, this is an almost impossible thing to ascertain, but there is one part of life that you can collect this data for quite easily; your computer usage. I came across wakoopa (a tool that logs how much time you spend in each application) a few years ago and it’s interesting to look at the results, particularly when comparing use of creative applications.
The amount of time spent using my creative apps 1

If you’re into this sort of thing, sign up and forget about it for a year or so… It’s interesting to see how your perception of how much time you spend in each app matches up to the reality of how long you spend moving the mouse and tapping the keyboard.
